An intimate resort with just 16 rooms. All rooms in this tropical resort have been recently refurbished; each room has been tastefully decorated ensuring the comfort of its guests.
At Smiles Beach Hotel, all rooms feature patios or balconies over-looking the tropical gardens of the resort or with views over the pristine beaches. They also feature:

If you are looking for an affordable holiday to Zanzibar and want to experience the beautiful white sandy beaches, then Smiles Beach Hotel is definitely right for you.
Although basic, the hotel has everything you need to be comfortable. It is also the perfect location for the younger traveler who wants to experience the local nightlife or those who like to adventure out at meal times. The surrounding area has everything you need in terms of entertainment. Another bonus is that you are able to swim in the sea at all times, as this area is not affected by the tides, which makes for perfect swimming.

We think that Dongwe Ocean View offers something a little different from the other beach lodges that are popular all along the east coast of Zanzibar – the majority being makuti thatched bungalows. Dongwe Ocean View on the other hand is set over two floors in a boutique style which works well. It’s simple but luxurious and should be considered by anyone.
