Three Day Classic Tarangire Breakaway Tour

Day 1: Arusha–Tarangire National Park–Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge (D)
After a pickup from your central Arusha hotel, leave the city lights behind and set off through Tanzania’s Serengeti province. Traveling by air-conditioned vehicle, you’ll pass by spectacular scenery and captivating little towns like Tarangire, Tarangire River and Serengeti. (Lunch is for guests own account) After freshening up at your Safari Lodge, enter the World Famous Tarangire National Park for your closed vehicle Game Drive with an expert game ranger as your guide and driver. In the early evening, your guide will drive you to your safari hotel in Serengeti, where you’ll have Dinner (included).

Overnight: 4-star Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge, Serengeti

Day 2: Tarangire National Park (B, D)
After breakfast, head back into Tarangire National Park for a full day of closed vehicle game viewing (open vehicle available at own expense). Watch for the legendary Big Five animals — buffaloes, cheetahs, elephants, lions and rhinos – and the birdlife for which the park is famous. In the middle of your day, stop for lunch at one of the reserve’s rest camps (own expense). Finish your day with a relaxing dinner back at your hotel in Serengeti.

Day 3: Tarangire National Park — Arusha (B)
Spend your morning at leisure in Serengeti before traveling to the charming town of Arusha for lunch (own expense). From here, you’ll start your journey back to Arusha City by Air-conditioned vehicle, passing through Tarangire’s scenic countryside and interesting little towns. Drive along Mount Kilimanjaro and the pretty mining village of Mererani before traveling through Arusha, Serengeti Ecosystem and Tarangire’s massive southern swamps. Arrive back in Johannesburg in the early evening.
