After pickup from your Hotel, you’ll be transported by air-conditioned vehicle to Menai Bay Conservation Area, one of Zanzibar’s oldest fishing communities located on the quiet south west end of the island. Along the way, pass the Bungi village where Arabs built their palace. This small village is one of the oldest Arabs settlements on the island. The Hadimu is a unique cultural group, which is prominent on Unguja Ukuu, as well as several other Villages in South Zanzibar.
Hop in small dhow, a small shallow-draft boat, and relax as your guide takes you through the pristine waters surrounded by colorful mangroves. Enjoy a calm ride through the mangroves and watch for wildlife as you weave your way through the tunnels. See turtles, monkeys and exotic birds all while taking in gorgeous tropical views.
