Take a scenic drive down to the stunning Ngorongoro Conservation Area, part of the Ngorongoro National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This half day tour is the easiest way to see some of the most spectacular scenery in Tanzania, taking in the centerpiece and major landmarks of the conservation Area is the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, where you will discover a natural amphitheatre surrounded by step walls rising over 600 Meters from the carter floor.
Start your half day tour to Ngorongoro Conservation Area by driving along the rugged safari roads with its towering Ngorongoro Crater Mountains and Empakaai Crater. Soon, you will arrive in Oldoinyo Lengai, spectacular view of a still active volcano eruption, overlooked by the impressive snowy peak of Mount Kilimanjaro. From here, you will begin the spectacular lake shore drive along the world-famous Lake Manyara. This road hugs the near vertical mountain of Kilimanjaro.
Arriving at Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you will make your way down to Ngorongoro Crater. This rocky mountain is a natural for some 30000 animals including the big five of buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion and rhino. You will have the opportunity to walk to the old Maasai Boma and learn the cultural activities of these peoples.
Returning from Arusha City you will follow the town road along Arusha Town, through the historic German House. You will then have the chance to stop and view the Olduvai Gorge, the site where in 1959, Dr. Louis Leakey and his wife Mary discovered the remains of what was regarded as man’s first step on the ladder of human evolution (at own expense). Then pass through then popular holiday resort, of Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge before return to the Arusha Town City Centre.
