Saadani Helicopter Tour: Indian Ocean Coast

Check in at the Dar es Salaam City’s helipad and then board your helicopter to head to the skies of Saadani National Park!

Leaving the Dar es Salaam City and its busy harbor behind, your first airborne view is the Bagamoyo Fishing Village, unfolding in front of your eyes. The stunning array of Indian Ocean pristine Beach, and bordered by several of the Saadani’s most famous Animal Parks. As you soar through the skies, your pilot will give a running commentary to make sure no points of interest are missed out!

Fly over Saadani National Park, which hosts a large population of hippos, crocodiles, flamingos, and many other large bird species, before starting a 360-degree circuit of iconic Udzungwa Mountains National Park. Soak up incomparable views of Southern Circuit’s tallest mountain, and then compare the earthy colors of nearby Udzungwa Mountains National Park with the striking green of the Tropical forests.

After gliding past Lion’s Head, another National Park, soar above the Tropical Forest. If visibility is good enough, you should be able to catch a glimpse of tiny Great Ruaha River in the distance.

After passing close to Great Ruaha River, see the sea stretching in front of you and glide above beautiful Mafia Islands. After roughly 60 minutes of exploring the skies, leave the Indian Ocean seascapes behind and touchdown back at the Dar es Salaam helipad.
